It started at the kitchen table

MagBricks didn't begin in a boardroom. It began at a kitchen table, where a few of us — parents, a former kindergarten teacher, and a couple of design-obsessed friends — kept having the same conversation. We watched our own kids reach for a tablet the moment they got bored, and we wanted something better in their hands. Not another flashing, beeping gadget that plays for them, but a toy that asks them to play.

The problem we kept seeing

Toys today seem to fall into two camps. There are the screens — endless, passive, and exhausting to police. And there are the toys that do one thing, one way, until the novelty wears off in an afternoon and they end up at the bottom of the bin. We wanted to find the rare middle: something open-ended enough to grow with a child, simple enough for a three-year-old, and rich enough to keep a curious seven-year-old genuinely absorbed.

Why magnetic building blocks

The more we explored, the more we kept coming back to magnets. Magnetic blocks click together in a way that feels almost magical to a small child — and that little spark of "whoa, it sticks!" is the doorway to hours of building. But the real reason we fell for them is what happens next:

• They're open-ended. There's no single right answer. A pile of blocks becomes a castle, then a rocket, then a robot, then a zoo — all in one sitting.
• They're quietly educational. Stacking, balancing, and shaping teaches real STEM and spatial reasoning, the kind of hands-on problem-solving that sticks far better than any app.
• They grow with the child. A toddler builds simple towers. An older kid builds geometric domes and 3D structures. The same set keeps earning its place on the shelf for years.

Why we obsess over quality

Once we knew what we wanted to make, we refused to cut corners on how we made it. Cheap magnetic toys feel cheap — weak magnets that won't hold a build, thin plastic that cracks, printed designs that peel after a week. That's exactly the kind of toy that ends up forgotten, and we weren't going to add one more to the pile.

So the Magnetic World™ Adventure Set is built the way we'd want it for our own kids: 150 premium blocks made from UV-printed, reinforced child-safe plastic, with strong neodymium magnets sealed inside by ultrasonic welding so they stay put — in the build and in the block.
